Paul Johnson emailed me that his Rattler was the escape from our tragedy, I played Scott Burns Melobro for 2 hours last night and it was the first time I felt good in my gut for about 3 days now. Fire up your guitar for a while and let it out--it helps!

I played a gig Friday night in the Mission District of San Francisco, at a little hole in the wall called the Odeon. It turned out to be a release for everyone in the place as well as for the musicians. I think we played with more fire and passion than we would have normally, just because this was a way to release the tensions we've all been feeling.
By the way, the entire club was lit by candles, and there was a row of little American flags all along the bar back (where the bottles live).

Thanks, Ted -- I guess this is why we play the blues. When words fail, music helps us grieve... and eventually, heal.

I got a very heart felt email from Brian Martin today, he lost a close friend in one of the towers. Been down there and came home to a Rattler 2nd we shipped out a couple weeks ago - played it for some time and emailed me how it helped. Really stopped me for a while, had no idea it was hitting that close. Wish it could have been more.
