I just bought aquired a VF-1. Since the patches that come with the unit are useless for steel, I was wondering if anyone out there has made up some patches for the steel and would like to share them with me. I am looking for one with some delay, one with chorus and one with rotating speaker effects.

Don go to any patch you want, turn off everything in the chain you do not want, like distortion etc. Go through the chain of effect still left on and look at all of the parameters on each effect. Start slow and increase the appropriate parameters to your liking. Delay might have one repeat and 20% volume and that is it. Maybe you like 4 repeats and 30% volume, do it.
Go to the reverb and pick the type you like, plate is always good for steel, start with 300ms at about 20% volume.
