Can't say, Tony. After I read about Sarah Jory getting a TransTube-Fex in the Monitor, I decided I'd get one too. I found out they were no longer being made. I guess I'll never know the difference either !

Regards, Paul

One uses real tubes....the other doesn't. Tony, you know you have a single-phallic name? Peter O'Toole has a double.

I have a Tubefex, bersion 2.0 and the PFC controller. I have a Transtubefex on its way. I'll give it a test run and report any differences I find (on vacation, be back 7 Sep). I have a Transsformer 212 amp that uses the same Transtube technology, it's pretty darn close to a real tube sound, I must admit.
