I have one I used for three or four years at the Church where I play. I used a Digitech 2112 with a direct box to the house system, and used this as a monitor. Mine has a 12" Black Widow, and sounds good with a steel or guitar. I recently went to in-ear monitors and do not use the amp anymore.

I have one - got it in the early 80's, and wouldn't trade it for anything. I think it's Peavey's best kept secret. Great sound on steel as well as being a killer 6 string amp.
I have a Nashville 400 too, in some ways I like the sound of the LA better.. Highs are cleaner and punchier.. Reverb is better to my ears also.. (3 spring reverb in it)
