This afternoon I went to the Everett Eagles Club in Everett, WA. The "Pioneers of Western Swing" were having their 11th Annual
music festival. I was looking at a display of 8 X 10 photos of former inductees to The Western Swing Hall of Fame. I saw a photo of Marty Engel from last year. Marty was pictured with a Triple Ten Non-Pedal Sho-Bud Guitar, that had a natural finish. The 4 playing card symbols were in an arched pattern in the middle of the front apron.
I could only see the pickup on the front neck, and it had 2 rows of magnets.

Does anyone have any information on this guitar? What year was it mauufactured? Is it one of a kind?

Hi Chas,

This T-10 Sho-Bud guitar had aluminum end plates. I believe you were referring to the very early Sho-Buds with all wood cabinets.?

Chas, Your guitar sounds very rare indeed.

I once heard that Weldon played a 16 string Sho-Bud guitar on a Connie Smith recording in the 1960s. The strings of this guitar were in pairs like the standard 12 string guitar.???
