A friend of mine was rumaging around a bunch of electronic gear that he has been accumulating over the years and came accross this Marshall valvestate 8040 40watt rms 4 ohm 12inch spewker Amp. if anyone can inlighten us about its tonal,operational,design usage it would be apprecated Thanks Bob Coombes

Hi Bob,

Marshall's Valvestate series is their solid state line. They are popular among guitar students, as they have the famous Marshall logo and can be bought for very reasonable prices.

Speaking of Marshalls, I am always in the market for clean 60's and 70's amps. I'm not looking for a cheap deal, I will pay fair market prices for good stuff.
