Maybe this belongs in Humour (then again, if you're the buyer it may not be so funny), but...saw this on the Magnatone-Valco list:

Ebay-ese: The speaker is missing but the tubes light up.
Translation: I jacked the speaker from this dog for my restoration.

eBay-ese: I don't have a guitar to test it with but the tubes light up.
Translation: This thing is broke or sounds awful.

eBay-ese: Just like Jimmy Page used on the 1st 2 Zep CD's.
Translation: Any Valco, Supro product ever produced.

eBay-ese: Could use a little servicing.
Translation: The Tranny's shot and the speaker is the wrong
impedance.

eBay-ese: Thinning out my personal collection.
Translation: Trying to make my 2000th ebay sale.

eBay-ese: Some minor cosmetic flaws.
Translation: The Tolex has been replaced with Krylon.

Moved to humor, probably a more apt place for this.
