I NEED SOME HELP ON INFRO. FROM YOU THAT USE THE RT-921 REVERB BY TUBEWORKS...DO ANY OF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLUM WITH THE UNIT CLIPPING? WILL THE TUBES GOING BAD CAUSE THIS..WHEN THE CLIPPING STARTS...CUTTING BACK ON THE INPUT AND OUT PUT, DON,T HELP? I TALKED TO TUBEWORKS ABOUT THIS AND THEY SAID THAT THEY NEVER GET ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS UNIT CLIPPING..THEY SAY SETTING THE OUT AND INPUTS TO HIGH WILL CAUSE THIS...BUT IT COULD BE THE TUBES ALSO.ANY COMMENTS?

I use the Tubeworks reverb and have never experienced any problem with clipping.

Joe,I had the same problem with mine when I first got it. Keeping the input levels at "3" or below seem to solve the problem. I can run the output levels just about anywhere depending on the volume I need. I use the "line level" outputs on my Blue Tube II to the +4db inputs of my BOSS SE-50. Then from the SE-50 I go to the "line level" inputs and outputs on the reverb to my Power Amp. The bottom line is keeping the inputs on the reverb at "3" or below. The outputs can be set at whatever You need. I can't give You any advice on the tubes. I hope this helps, Leon |

thanks Erv and Leon for your reply, i replaced the tubes in the unit today and so far i,v had no clipping, infact the new tubes made it sound a lot better, hopeful this will solve the clipping and i will also keep the input leval down a bit too.Herby Wallace get a great clean reverb useing this unit and i knew this box should be clean, again thanks a bunch.

Joe, Thanks for the feedback. Sounds as if I need to replace the tubes in mine. |
