I am looking to build or buy already assembled ; an electronic connector box that I can run two seperate units into and out of with a switch from one side to the other.
All quarter inch jacks. Any ideas of someplace online to check ? Thanks.

It looks like it can be used to switch between two inputs or between two outputs.

Lee & Bob-- I think you both are on the right track, check me to be sure. Could I run both my Ibanez delay unit and a Profex II
(one or the other at a time) with this box by coming into it from my pedal and one out to the Ibanez and the other to the Profex and then come out of both the Ibanez and the Profex to the amp with a splitter lead ?

I don't think one A/B box will do what you want. If you want to have either the Profex II or the Ibanez in the line.

An A/B box will either take one input and send it to either A or B output or have two inputs and you can select which one to send to the output. But, if you want to switch one or the other you need something that will select (switch) either one of the two devices but then you need to also switch the output of either device to the amp input. If you just "Y" the output of the guitar to two inputs you could throw the load balance off and affect your tone and volume level. That is why on your other post I said you would need two A/B boxes or a custom box with a 4PDT switch.

Boss makes a dandy unit: the LS-2. You can switch settings among several effects or amplifiers or route input and output signals. There are also controls to control level. Any combination you want.

Jack's advice in this and in your other thread is correct. Run the pedal in the loop of the Peavey, then set up a program in the Peavey to use only the device in the loop.

OK---(please be patient with this old man) what you're saying is run the pedal (Ibanez delay) ?? in the loop of the Peavey (Profex II) ?? and then program the Profex II so it has a setting to play only what's in the loop ? Then when I set the Profex II on that it will let the Ibanez delay go straight through and on to my 400 amp unchanged by the Profex II ?

Ditto on the Boss LS-2.

It can do a lot more than an A-B Box, but I use it as an A-B Box. It's worked countless club gigs without a problem.

Reasonably priced, Solid construction,No Pops when switching, two different colored LEDs so you can silently tell what instrument you've selected, Available almost everywhere...

Did I mention I like this unit?

Just for the record--- today (Sat.) I stopped by Ben Jack's Music Store and picked up a Rapco AB 100 line splitter box and hooked that sucker up to my Profex II and my Ibanez Analog delay and it works A-1 No tone or volume problems. Now to get the box built to house all the mess in a neat package. Thanks everyone for the input .

If your handy w/ a soldering iron,go to Radio Shack, get a small chassis box,3-¼" jacks,& a DPDT foot switch,& make one. You can "glamorize" it however you want.(rubber feet, etc. A lot cheaper than $39.95,& it'll keep you off the streets for a while.)
