I just got my Precision Strobe Tuner from Jim Campbell. This is the coolest tuner I've ever seenfor pedal steel. It is a virtual strobe tuner and it will store custom temperaments. I've programmed in the Jeff Newman temperament. Once programmed the thing is a breeze to use. You just pick a string and tune until the spinning red lights become still. Very accurate. I'm totally impressed by this thing. And no, I dont work for him, I just really like this tuner. I think steel players should look into it. Check him out at http://www.izzy.net/~jc/PSTInfo/PSTInfo.html

Website says $525.00. Too steep for blood. I'll stick to my 25 year old Korg. Works just fine.

I've seen one and it was nice, but not nice enough to make me want to part with that amount of money.

My Boss TU12H gets me close and then I can fine tweak by ear if necessary.

$525.00? Thats enough to scare a fully growed cowboy, and them boys are closs to fearless.

I wasn't aware of just how good my BOSS TU - 12 was working.

Makes me think of my Daddys old saying...You can't get your wants and needs mixed up.

Well if you contact this guy he'll sell them for much less than $525. This tuner isn't for everyone. It's for tuning tempered instruments like Pedal Steel, Sitar, Piano, Harpsichord, etc. It's also good for guitar techs who need to accurately set the intonation on a guitar. It's a much improved strobe tuner. The cool thing is that it will store temperaments. Since the PSG is a complex tempered instrument, normal tuners dont quite cut it. If you play in a band with a piano and dont temper your steel, then stick to the little cheap tuners as they do fine for that.
