Ernie, Your post on using "Delay only" was very enlightening. My problem is tweaking the Delay settings for up tempo songs. I have no problem setting up a patch for slow ballads. What settings do You and Buddy use for the up tempo songs? What I need is Delay Time, Feedback, Delay level? Thanks in advance. At the present time, I bypass the delay and use a "TUBE WORKS" 12 spring reverb for up tempo songs. I could never get digital reverb to sound right to my ears on the "cooking songs". Leon |

Leon;
Let me start by saying that using delay instead of reverb is a acquired taste. Start turning the reverb down a small amount at a time. Set it so the delay is about 285 ms. Set the repeat for 2 or 3 repeats. Keep them real quiet. Just enough to hear the first echo and the others barely audible. You'll have to experiment to find which setting you like the best for whatever type song. For general use I use the 285 ms. For slow tunes 385 ms (with a louder return) and for slap back rockabilly type stuff a 135 ms (also with a louder return.) It took me about 2 months to get the reverb turned completely off. A couple of times I had the reverb bypassed and didn't realize it.
I'm not sure exactly what settings Buddy uses but I imagine they are in the same ballpark as these are.
Hope this is of some help!
