I bought a WT-10A tuner. I don't have a manual for it. There is an adjustment inside a small hole in the back of it. What is it for?
Also, there is no light inside the meter. Is there a bulb burned out or is it not built with a light?
Thanks
Dennis
Also...how old is it? serial# 703654

The hole has an adjustment to calibrate it. When you put a metal screwdriver in it will ghange a little, so if you calibrate it, check it after you remove the screwdriver. There is no light in it. The knob on the side is just for the pitch of the audible tone. I better stop now, I'm starting to sound like I know what I am talking about.

If you calibrate the tuner,I would suggest useing a Good tunnin' fork or other calibrated standard. (NOT one of those cheap silver lookin' ones)
There are other internal trimmers and pots inside of the tuner. STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!! If you tweak these, It won't make no difference how much you try, you'al never get the thing to work right. These pots are factory settings and are more for internal electronic freq shaping in nature, not adjusting/calibrating of the tone heard by the tuner.

What Larry said: I've had mine since 1978 and and it still works great. I use an A-440 tuning fork to calibrate the tuner maybe once a year and it still works terrific. I have also purchased a couple Korg CA-20's and love 'em. This WT10A is great tuner, I'll check to see if I still have the manual.
