I was in my local music store yesterday and they had a rare Weissenborn Style 4 ... rope binding, 65 year old Koa body, etc. I'm kind of an anti-vintage-hype kind of guy but having played several other Weissenborns, a Kona and owning a Bear Creek, I had to admit that this instrument really had that "magic sound". That rich, sweet, tone that is unique to these guitars. Guess how much they were asking? $5400. Yikes! If anyone's got a spare 5 1/2 grand, it's at The Music Emporium, Lexington, Massachusetts. Even at that price, I'm betting it won't be there next week.

I noticed the guitar is on their website at $5750. They must have offered you the "Bro" deal--better jump on it while you can--you know you want it!

Of course I WANT it! But I enjoy being married and intend to stay that way.

I came across an interesting site about folk/rock/blues steeler, Ben Harper with lots of info on his guitars including tunings.
