I have a Stewart PA-1000 amp that I would like to use in Mono-Bridge mode. I know that side #1 will be the imput side and that I should only use the red terminals. My guestion is Would the #1 side of the amp be the + side?

Joe, you are correct. You set the switch to bridge, plug signal into Channel 1. The red post of Channel 1 is the positive from the speaker and the red post of Channel 2 is the negative from the speaker. Make no connection to the negative terminals on the power amp when in bridged mode.

Joe
A word of caution, Check your manual with the power amp, Different manufacturers have different minimum speaker impedances that can be used in Bridge mode. Its not necessarily the same as it is in the stereo mode.

Thanks Guys. Part of the problem is that I don't have a manual for this amp. I e-mailed the Stewart amp folks but they never sent me a reply. I am going to be driving one 8 ohm speaker so I should be ok.
