I use a Boss TU-12H chromatic tuner and have often been frustrated to find that the switch got turned on (or left on) accidentally in my packaseat and, upon arrival at the gig, the battery is dead, again!

Recently I saw another player use a rubber-band wrapped tightly around the tuner, and then rolled over to where it puts leftward pressure on the switch, to keep it in place. I've since started doing that, and haven't killed a battery ever since. Don't remember who I got the tip from but thanks, whoever you are, and I wanted to pass it along to others.
Cheers,
jc

Thanks, Jim! I knew there was a reason to continue to 'lurk' around here!
