Seeing as I don`t frequent this side of the forum and it may have been said before - I wonder if anyone could date this beauty that a buddy of mine just aquired last week and possibly how much it`s worth?.

It`s black bakelite in it`s original plush-lined case with original flat bar and tri-terminal addaptor.

The headstock has a plate attached that says:- RICKENBACHER ELECTRO. LOS ANGELES.
At the bottom end of the body it`s Pat. No. is 1881229

Bob, I can't help you with the little information you are sharing with us about your instrument.

A couple of weeks ago we had a thread going on here about the subject and I posted some information there that may help you better identify your guitar:

Rickenbacher Dating

I hope this helps. ... J-D.

When I posted this, I was unaware that my dear friend J D Sauser was also posting on this subject. Since J D had reasearched this in great detail, I am out of courtesy to him, deleting my post.

Folks, when JD tells you something you can take it to the bank.

Carl
