I have installed a new 5ook pot in an old volume pedal. Work fine but in reverse. When I push down on the pedal the volume is less. I can't change the pot around, can I rewire to reverse it? Thanks Gene

Simple....

Just wrap the string in the opposiste direction.

Example:
I think you have wound the string in a counter-clockwise direction. Go clock-wise with it.

Or: (If you have rack and gear pinion)

As you replaced the pot, You must have soldered the wires to the pot.Right ?? O.K.,Lets swap the two outside wires,
Gives the same results.

Sorry, but it doesn't. That would just give the same results as swapping your guitar and amp cords in the pedal.

I would say that you need to re-wrap the string properly.

Or perhaps turn the pedal around backwards?

Thanks for your help. I rewired the two outside wires and it works great. It has a rack and gear, no string. My first volume pedal. Now all I need is to learn how to use it.Thanks again!!

Glad you got it fixed and sorry for my bad advice. I guess I was thinking about what happens if you swap the center and outside wires.
