If it's not a company private issue, maybe Mike Brown can tell us what Peavey plans to offer as a replacement for these units since they are no longer made.

Are they going to offer a similar unit based upon the Transformer series?

If I may, I'd like to second that question.
Just when I decided to upgrade to a Trans-Fex mainly because I read about Sarah Jorey in the Monitor, I found out that production had ceased. What a bummer ! I had my heart set of the new one. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles ! I'd like to think that what's coming (??) would be even better !! Best Regards to Mike @ Peavey,Paul

Mike Brown mentioned one time that there would be a new unit but he didn't elaborate what it would be and when it would be available. However, reading between the lines, I suspect the new version will also include some amp modeling, like all the competitors.

There may still be some new units around, it would probably take a lot of searching to find a dealer that had one, tho.

It seems like there are a lot of used Tube Fex's for sale but I don't see many Transtube Fex's.

Hello AJM,
I don't know where you are located, but I probably speak to at least 20-25 steel players a day. I have compiled a list of authorized Peavey dealers that either have a steel player who works in their store or the storeowner has an interest in steel guitar. I know of quite a few dealers who might still have a rack processors on their show floor that you could check with. If you will give me a call at 1-877-732-8391, maybe I can assist you in locating one.

As for a replacement for the Session 2000, we have kicked around ideas for a new model. It was very unfortunate that we were forced by one of our vendors to cease production on the 2000. But, as fast as technology is changing, there are many new ideas that could be incorporated into a new version.

By the way, I'd love to receive suggestions/ideas from steel guitarists, fiddlers and other stringed instrument players as a new version just may happen. I can be reached toll free in the U.S. at 1-877-732-8391 and outside the U.S. at (601)483-5365.

You can bring out all the new units you like.
I still like my Pro-fex II and to me it is still the best you have produced that's why you see so many searching for one of the units. It reminds me of the old MXR pedals they are still some of the best you can use if you can find one.
I still have mine and you can't have them.
