At first glance, it looks like it says "HAVANA" on the headstock. But I'm clueless. Looks cool tho.

Look at the price! How can an obscure 6 string lap steel be worth over $700? Is there something special about this instrument?

Notice it's listed under "Antiques and Art" and not under "Guitars". It's unique and beautiful looks are driving the price up. It's metal and the workmanship looks pretty good. I'm guessing that it doesn't sound all that great. This looks like a collector guitar as opposed to a musician's guitar. Just my opinion... as always!

Before becoming a revolutionary and dictator, Fidel Castro was a steel guitar maker of some note. Just as the HAVANA brand was getting some airplay he met Che Guevera and ... heck, even I can't go on with this with a straight face.

I think you're right, Doug, it's a collectors axe as it's extremely rare and has some design flair.
