Hi group:

Fender just recently released their new "Cyber-Twin" hybrid amplifier.

You can see it at the URL:

http://www.fender.com/cyber/

This appears to be a very interesting product and I'm curious if any of the SGF members have had an opportunity to try it out on the steel guitar?

One of these amps recently sold on eBay for about $750.

My local Fender dealer, Larry Music, West, in Grants Pass, Oregon, has one on order but it hasn't been delivered yet.

I look forward to hearing from you on this subject.

There have been several inquiries on this amp on the forum. I'm curious too. Maybe enough time has gone by to try bumping this up again to see if any others have some experience with it yet.

I've been to the web-site and am now seeing it advertised in the Musician's Friend catalog.

Any more first hand experience with steel on this amp?

If your looking for the "Twin" sound, why not just go for the 65 twin reissue as the jury seems to be in on this one. The Cyber Twin is Fender's answer to the other modeling amps and they are geared for guitar players. Just a thiought?

I think Mike Perlowin did a review on new Fender amps and the Cyber-Twin was one of them. I've tried a search in several of the topic areas, back 100 days but could find nothing. Regards Paul

As a software engineer, I've wary of version 1.0 of anything.
