This amp has always had a tendency to suddenly start high pitch feedback in the reverb - when it is turned to zero the feedback stops. I have had this happen on stage to some considerable embarassment. I think it is about a '94 model.

Recently it has gotten worse, to where the reverb is unusable. Has anybody else experienced this or know the fix for it? I am switching to my Twin Reverb for gigs and putting the Peavey in the garage. Maybe I'll sell it, but I can't do that in good conscience while it has a problem like this.

Check the Reverb I/O connector on the chassis. I think the reissued Session 400LTD's used the same Molex (white or cream colored nylon connector) that the Nashville 400's use. That connector is the source of almost all the reverb or reverb noise problems in the Nashvilles.

Unplug the connector and spray both the male and female pins with contact cleaner and then reconnect, and see if that fixes the problem. The connector is located on the underneath part of the chassis and has the two cables that go to the reverb pan. You might have to take the back cover off to see it.

Try putting an old folded bath towel overit; just fold and lay ot over the pan. Sometimes it will help.

If that doesn't do it, get a new pan from magic parts or align the spring end connectors within the transducers. Lots-a-luck.

Or, you may purchase the new pan direct from the Peavey factory by phoning 1-877-732-8391.
