Could someone point me in the right direction or a web site of the different ways to hook-up a Adat to a mixer for both recording & playback.

Look on the Alesis website. They have the manuals for ADATs thier to download for free. It has all the info needed. Or you can E-mail me and I'll be happy to discuss this in great detail with you.

Thanks for the response, I'm having trouble with my email so I thought I would respond on the forum. I just picked up a used Adat & I'm struggling with how best to hook it up. The Alesis site doesn't show me a
variety of potential hook up's like I hoped. I would like to set up so I
could record from one to all eight tracks at one time & also playback any of
the eight tracks.
The way I see it, if I get something like a Mackie 1604 (16 input/8 direct
outputs)
I could use the 1st 8 channel inputs & direct outputs for the source
(Instrumentation - steel, drums, bass, fiddle, etc.) The second set of 8
channels inputs would receive the outputs of the 8 channels of the Adat for
playback.
Am I on the right track or all wrong here?
I also question what kind of cabling I should be looking at; individual RCA
to 1/4" or 8 channel snake?
