I am getting back into pedal steel, having just purchased an old MSA D-10. Any suggestions for an amp? I had a used Lemay-modified 400, and I liked it. Are there any other reasonably priced used moels that I should look at? What about the Session 400 and 500?

Any of the 3 amps you mentioned should do a good job on that ol' MSA! There's lots of them around, too. I recommend a "mod" if there is one available for an older amp. Also, the new Nashville 1000's are a good choice if you can afford a newer amp. |

Hello Mason,
I invite you to call me here at Peavey. I'll be glad to discuss what Peavey non steel amps I have found to work pretty good for steel guitar. However, I do recommend that you check out the Nashville 1000 or any of the other Peavey steel amps that we have manufactured since 1974. We have the experience in the steel guitar amplification field and I will be glad to share my knowledge with you concerning our products.
I can be reached at our toll free number which is 1-877-732-8391. |
