I just finished rebuilding and old Pro III and the pickup I put on the E9 neck is wound to 23K ohms and it sounds too dark for my taste. The pickup for the C6 neck is bad and will need to be rewound. Does anyone know what resistance the original Sho-Bud pickups were wound to? Or was there any "standard"?

It seems you have the C6 pickup on the E9 neck!
And thanks to Duane Becker for his answer... I haven't actually tried the originals yet!
