I am posting this message for a band member, she has a CS 800 that was left to her by her father. At the time she didnt really need to use it so she just took it to a music store and they were supposedly going to have it sent to a peavey dealer in amarillo to be checked out. With this amp being a 'backup' amp she never really had an occasion to check to see if it worked ok. Now about two years later we're one amp short because a band member is leaving the band. To make a long story short we hook up to the monitor speakers, very low power. I told her I'll take the amp home to check it out on my board and speaker ,again low power the the fuse blows on it. I went to radio shack and got another 15 amp fuse to replace it and stills continues to blow.(the fuse I am using is a 120 v fast blow) the back of the amp does not specify fast or slow blow. I guess my question is after all this rambling on is ,is there any hope for this amp,am I using the right fuse, and should we be so trusting of a music store to do what they say they going to do( BTW she was charged over $150.00 for the work that I dont think even happend) Any help or comment appreciated.
