The PS802 seems to an interesting power amp (15,8 lbs.,1 unit,2x400 watts).Any experiences with steel or guitar?

I have one right here. I mainly got it for
running our monitor system, but I have tried
it with the steel here in the house. It's
got plenty of power and is very lightweight.
They're also very reasonably priced. I picked this one up used but in mint condition
for very low $$$.

I have a SoundTech PS802. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product and the tone and power output. I have it in a rack with a TubeWorks BlueTube II Pre-Amp and a BOSS SE-50 stereo effects processor. My Friend has the same Pre Amp and Effects Processor and a Peavey DPC-750. I can't tell any difference in tone or quality of sound. All the controls for the PS802 are on the front panel. This I like. If You are searching for a Power Amp, I can give the PS802 a thumbs up. Let me also say that this is in no way a knock on Peavey Power Amps. Peavey equipment has served me well for 30 years. I still have 2 Nashville 400's for backup. I think having all the controls of a rackmount right at my finger tips has spoiled me.
