Once upon a time someone wrote about blending in a bit of the amp's spring reverb with the digital reverb and/or digital delay from their f/x unit. (Len, was it you that brought that up?)
Are many of you guys doing that?

When I use my Nashville 400, I use the built in spring reverb and a Boss DD-5 digital delay. I set the Nashville's reverb control on about 4 to 5. |

Hello Lee:
Yup! That was me that mentioned mixing the amps spring reverb with the digital reverb. Frenchy at Frenchy's Steel Guitar Shop in Behlen, NM told me about this at the convention last year as the Boss RV-3, when used for reverb only can be warmed up by mixing the amps spring reverb. However, I use the RV-3 with amps that have no reverb and it sounds good.
How is Ken making out with the orange Derby I sold him?

Jack......
Why ????
I thought the DD-5 had a reverb in it.
Or is it just delay and chours ?
When I'm not using the Profex II, I just use a DD-3 stright into the mixer board. That way, I don't have to carry any kind of amps.
My main rig is Profex II, into a Alesis 3630, then into a Korg DTR-1, then into 15 band EQ unit, from there into a Stero power-amp, into E112's or 15 inch cabinets, which-ever the gig requires.

Bill, the DD-5 is strictly a digital delay. However, the big difference between it and the DD-3 is the "tap" function on the DD-5 that allows you to "tap" the time and it will set the delay speed. I don't use that function, tho. |
