In the thread "Rookie Effects Questions" the Lexicon MPX1 was discussed. I currently have a Boss GX-700 and love the effects and tuner, but don't need the preamps and don't care for the Leslie effect. In fact it doesn't have one built in, but one of the factory patches attempts to simulate one.
The MPX1 has the Leslie effect built in, and I understand the reverbs and delays are excellent, but it doesn't have distortion or a built in tuner. Any ideas/recommendations of an effects only, single rack space effects unit, with Leslie, tuner, and distortion built in? |

I recently purchased a Roland GP-100 and it gets my vote as the one to get. I have owned many different units and IMHO this one tops them all. There are a few others here who use them as well. |

Jim: Tune ur guitar once a month ( a good reminder is when the house note comes due). Effects, yuck! Use your talent, which you have plenty of, to make it sound great. |

There's not much difference between the Roland GP-100 and the Boss GX-700. |

Both the GX-700 and the GP-100 have built in preamps. I like all the features of my GX except for the Leslie sounds and don't need the preamps. Does the GP have a built in Leslie effect, or does anyone have a good Leslie patch for the GX? |
