What is a good way to build a volume control for monitor speakers. Everyone at church wants a differnt level and this seems to be the only solution.

Our "Peavey" wedge monitors have V/C knobs built into them. I haven't looked inside of them to see what kind of V/C conponnents are there but they really work good.

We had the same hearing problems with the band, thats why we went with the V/C control monitors.

Depending on the wattage, you can buy some speaker L pads at Radio Shack. The only thing you have to have pads that will handle the power or you'll blow them out. I'm not sure what wattage units they stock.
