I'm considering new pick-ups for my Sho-bud. I've sure heard great things about Bill Lawerence but wouldn't know which to get for this guitar. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

I think that none of the modern pickups will fit into a Sho-Bud. The originals probably sound great anyway. |

I thought the Lawrence narrow pickups fit either Mullen or Sho-Bud?!? |

Lawrence and George L pickups are both available in narrow mount. |

So if they come in narrow, ya think 710s for the E9 and ? for the 6? (by the way the pickups on it are not stock & I think lack definition--I'm not sure what they are but don't have a separate pole for each string). |

Ricky Davis has 610s in his guitar--Pro II? I forget what he plays. I think he felt like he hit the jackpot when he put them in and I can tell you that his sound is great. |

You must have some old Lawrence 705's in there. Just two blade type magnets, right?
The L-610's are great if you like a pronounced high end & reduced mids.
If you're looking for more fullness, everybody's raving about the 910 sidewinders
these days.

Ya Jay, that's what they must be. They've got two blades. They do sound good but I'm wanting more fullness- both low and high. Thanks for the input everyone. I will give Bill Lawerence a call. |

I have stock (unaltered) Lawerence pickups (don't know which model number - how can you tell which model they are?) in my stock Sho-Bud Pro III. |

I had George L pick ups on the Super-Pro I used to have and the tone was great. It was the basic model.
