I have tried recording direct out of my amp, but always seem to get better results with a mike. Can anyone please offer any info on the best settings for going direct out of the amp, and either low or high impedence.

I've done some recording with a Session 500, that I used to have. I went directly to the board from the low impedence (XLR) output. The engineer loved it and the recorded sound came out great.

I will give it another try. Unfortunantly, I am usually the recording engineer when I dub my steel parts in on my home tapes after recording with a singer, and I probobly don't set the level correctly.
