Is a Peavey Transfex 212s Pro amp recommended for Steel Guitarists or is it best left to the Standard guitar players?

The Peavey Transfex Pro 212 was intended for six string electric guitarists. But, there is no reason that it wouldn't work for steel guitar applications. It will accept the steel guitar preset card, but it does not have the pre eq pedal patch.

The Peavey Transfex Pro power pak(no speakers) would problably work better as you could use your preferred speakers. There have been a couple of steelers on the Forum that are using this amp. Maybe you'll get a response from them.

In the meantime, let me know if I can be of assistance to you. I can be reached toll free in the U.S. at 1-877-732-8391.
