Quick question: On the Buy/sell board there's some discussion about JBL D130 speakers....8 ohm? I always thought the D130s were 4 ohm and the D140s were 8 ohm...what is the difference between a D130 and D140? Both are 15"....I always thought it was just 4 vs 8 ohms and that was it...is there more to it than that?...Just curious

As far as I know, D-130's are voiced for guitar and D-140's are voiced for bass. I have a pair of D-130F-16s that I had reconed to D-140F-8s to use in PA cabinets. In case anyone needs a reconing of ANY brand of speaker, let me know. There's a shop in Aliquippa, PA that is very good and reasonably priced.

This should be on the Electronics board.
Jackie, please move it over.

Jackie,
Go ahead and close it....I was asking about the differences in the models of speakers, not ohms specifically....didn't know it was an electronics question...sure didn't mean to misspost
Jon, thanks for the input...I appreciate it

D130s are for guitar, etc. D140s are for bass. Both series come in 2 (Session 400 only = rare), 4, 8 and 16 ohms.
The Ds sounds better to my ears than the K series...
