Took my Transtubefex into the studio today and got too much hiss. Can someone please tell me what settings they use in the studio for Global Input, Global Volume, as well as settings for input and output of the individual patch you use? Which one is producing all the hiss? Global or voice settings (or both)? I tried messing with it and wasn't getting satisfactory results.
Thanks,
Jim |

Jim, cut the Global output gain down to around 30. Also cut the input and output (primarily the output) gains with the front panel controls. That should clean the signal up quite a bit. The last session I did, I used my TT Fex with the speaker emulation set on 2X12's. Never got a complaint from the engineer and didn't hear anything on the raw playback. All I had was the TB preamp and the noise gate, but I'm not sure I really needed the noise gate with just the TB. If you're using effects then you will need the noise gate as the last parameter. |

Thanks for your help, Jack. I was back in the studio today and your settings were just what the doctor ordered. Got a good, clean tone.
Appreciate the help,
Jim |

Not only that, Jack, but the TTF patch I'm using is the one I call "Stoner" ! Thanks! |
