Folks if you like real country music with steel, lead and fiddle turnarounds, then gather 'round. My wife bought me the Country Family Reunion DVD set. I was glued to a DVD player with headset all day Christmas day. The folks I grew up listening too were singing and telling stories about each other and those that had passed away before the special was taped. It is hosted by Whispering Bill. There is music by Jeannie C Riley, Billy Walker, Tater Dickens, Johnny Russel, Jim Ed Brown, Justin Tubb and on and on. This stuff is adictive. There are 18 DVD in the series. I laughed so hard I cried sometime and sometime, I just cried. If you have questions, drop me an e-mail. As I posted on the Steel Players section under what Santa brought, This collection comes in second to 3 days with Jeff Newman on the hill the summer before we lost him. Seventeen of the stars on this series are already gone. Thanks, James |
