Any blues tabs out there that anyone knows about? Country Blues like the Arthoolie people did, or Billie Holiday tunes, or Muddy Waters...you get the idea.

ps. what are some favorite tunings for any lap steelers who play the blues?

Check out Brad's Page Of Steel for tabs, http://www.well.com/user/wellvis/tab.html plus a link on his tab page to some other more bluesy stuff http://www.rostock.igd.fhg.de/~kugraw/slidingzone.html
(although the latter is basically for bottleneck style, a lot of the tab still works, or can be easily adapted).
Favorite tuning for blues I would think is open D or E (E B E G# B E low to high) as used by David Lindley, Kelly Joe Phelps and (I think) Hop Wilson and Sonny Rhodes. (Also Ry Cooder and Elmore James in bottleneck style, to name but two).
Have fun
Nick
