How many of you are old enough to remember this plastic toy guitar and amp made by the Emenee toy company?

This is called a "Stealth Aurora", made by Switch Music. The blurb actually sounds pretty convincing -
Quote:
Body and neck are composite material molded in one piece with Switch's patented Vibracell process to create the ultimate in resonance, clarity, consistency, and resistance to weather.
Now that I've seen these two pictures, I'm not so sure? I don't imagine the Eminee Tiger Guitar listed at $459.00, at least?

They don't make the Emenee tiger guitar anymore.I think Emenee went out of business a zillion years ago. You might see one on Ebay for hundreds of dollars though. The strings on the "tiger" guitar were all plastic too.

I got one of those sets, the amp doesn't work and the guitar neck is bowed but it's almost ok for hawaiian style playing. Well, maybe not.

I don't recall ever seeing the guitar rig, but our family had several of the little pianos over the years made by Emenee. Thanks for the flashback!
