I just got to see Connie and band last night and they put on an amazing show. Connie's vocals were perfect. She sang many great selections from her own repetoire and also did some really inventive renderings of other stars' material. She was funny and charming on stage, and stayed a long while after the show to sign autographs and talk to the fans.
The show featured her band as much as it did her singing. Steel man Gary Carter and tele-slinger Rick Wright played awesome stuff through the whole set, doing great arragements and really neat endings on some songs, plus tons of solos. Her bass player sang a couple songs too, and did a great job.
I don't know if they're actually on tour though. They may have just had this one gig. But if they do play a show in your town, don't miss it! |

I believe she's married to Marty Stuart.
They can really sing some great gospel together. |
