Has anybody tried these "Stealth" guitars from switchmusic.com?

I've been waiting for this for some time. It sure seems as though with all the research that's been done on sound conductivity, and the carbon-graphite-fiber tennis rackets, golf clubs, artificial limbs, race cars et alia, somebody ought to be able to come up with a synthetic guitar banged out of a mold that would sound consistent all up and down the neck. I don't know if this is "the one" or a step in the right direction, but when people are paying $100,000 for a NON-star-owned Les Paul you got to figure something's got to give. |

Have you ever played a Rainsong guitar? Their carbon-fibre acoustics are very inpressive, I must say! And, they're every bit as beautiful as as wood guitars. That Aurora in your link looks like something Mattel might have made. |

The Dan Armstrong guitars and basses had a clear plastic (Lexan?) body. |

David,
Carbon fiber musical instruments have been available for quite some time.
My MSA Millenium pedal steel guitar is a carbon fiber cabinet.
Not only is it solid as a rock, it is one of the best sounding, longest sustaining steels I've heard and a lot less weight to carry around too. |

Incidentally, I have played Rainsong guitars, and the absolutely sing.
If I didn't adready have a fine acoustic guitar that I really like a lot, I'd seriusly consider getting one.

If you look on Harmony Central guitar user reviews, most people seem to like them. The main complaint is that they're heavy. |
