Cowboy Troy, he is a Country music star ? did I miss something along the way ?
oh..this is gonna be a real treat..
in my view, what could the producers be thinking ?
I guess they still have not watched American Idol..
and we are wondering where the Steel Guitar is..I think we have a bigger problem..

Sounds like it will be a "great country talent show".
Takes "country" talent to be able to evaluate "country music"...... |

Well at least Wyoming can sing! I only watched an episode or two of the first season, the one with Gina Gershon's sister and the Dixie Chix hubby... |

If they remotely think Cowboy Troy is a country singer, just cause he's from Texas and wears a hat, I take major offense to that. This guy couldn't sing his way out of a wet paper sack, if the instructions were written on the inside. He is just a way for the suits that be, can attempt to cross over and make money. It's no longer about the music, it's about the money, and these reality shows is just away to do it, even if it means trashing the real country musicians that came before. What a shame. Trash, Trash, Trash. okay i'm done. |

Yes, I was told by a BMI exec that my stuff would have been cut 10 years ago, which I took as a compliment, but he also said that it is a Big & Rich world out there right now. Precisely why I don't listen to the radio anymore. |

anyone who is thinking it is a Big and Rich world is really thinking small.
sure they have come to the table with some success.
but I seem to recall Martina just did a classics CD that shook the Country Music planet..
Alan and George stay within the traditional "BOX" and they seem to have some staying power..
Big and Rich..they may have a niche..but not the only niche..
I don't have a problem with Big and Rich, I have a problem with an Industry that thinks they ARE the Industry...
Country Music will survive long after Big and Rich even if they perhaps become small and broke..

Cute line but unless they're really "Dumb and Dumber" they'll eventually go to Small and Rich. |

Your right Mark,The cowboy hat don't make Mr Chesney a country singer either,Mr. Troy,Mr.Chesney, and the other so-called country artist of today should not have their C.D's displayed in the music section at WalMart.A more appropriate place would be in the garden center, with the rest of the manure and fertilizer. |

Geez guys, I dunno, I think it's kinda cool that there is a singing show for country fans now I know it's not traditional but it cant hurt (Imho) for a show to possibly sell more country records and help promote country music unlike American Idol which ultimately benefits its producers and sponsors.

I'd vote for a law that says you have to prove you've got a horse and some cows before you can buy a cowboy hat.
