Hi -- I heard forum member, Chris Walke's Melobar along with his Goodrich Super Bro. Those things are pretty cool! I was really impressed with it's dobro sound. Yes, I realize a real dobro is better (it's real for gosh sake), but with the flip of a switch -- voila! -- instant regular lap steel again. Plus, it's easier, and sounded GREAT in the mix onstage. For studio, I'd want a real one with a good mic, but this thing impressed me. I tried it with my Double 8 Stringmaster, and of course THAT was a mistake, because now I WANT ONE! I just don't have $450 (hell, I don't even have $50 right at the moment)!
Anyone else use one? I see some use the Match Bro, which I believe is the older version. Any major improvments in the Super Bro? Know any Goodrich dealers that sell them at the lowest cost? I've seen anywhere from $450 to $550 so far.
Thanks a bunch.
