Tonites Opry on GAC

We had a cancellation tonite, so, I am home with nothing to do. I am watching the Opry, and kind of aggravated. There is all kinds of steel being played, but, it is not in the mix, you can here it, but, all we are getting is what is coming through the house. Do the folks running the controls not know what they are doing? Daryll Worley's steeler was absolutely going to town, and they had a great shot of him on the screen, just couldn't hear him. Tommy White was playing some great stuff behind Jamey Johnson, same thing, I could barely tell he was playing, even when they had a good shot of him on the tube. Ah well, guess I will go crank mine up. I know I will here some then...LOL

I did not have a gig tonight so I turned on the TV and found a live set by Martina McBride. She has a new CD of classic country tunes and she is not really convincing me that she is a country singer at all. Anyway whoever is playing steel is getting some great closeups and sounds nice on the Carter he is playing.

Darryl's steel player could have been UP abit more. He played fine!
