A great fiddle player, especially on the ballads. Hoping he is alive and well and someday receives his due from the music community.

You're so right, Charlie was a great player. I was fortunate to know him when I was just a kid, he played fiddle in my dad's band in S. Fla. I hadn't heard from Charlie in many years until recently, but about a year ago I got his e:mail address and we stay in touch from time to time. He is doing well, but not playing hardly any at all. Thanks for remembering him.

Several of the Justice brothers live near me. One is a bass picker, Tony, and the other, Roy, is a fiddle player.

Just for clarification, Roy and Paul are brothers, but not related to Charlie. Paul is still playing with Tillis. |

One of my fondest musical memories was the time I spent traveling with Johnny Paycheck. Paul and Roy Justice playing twin fiddles. God, I was in steel guitar heaven. Great guys, great musicians and a lot of fun to be around.

Jack, Bobby Fisher, who picked drums with Paycheck (and Moe Bandy) also lives close to me (and next door to Roy Justice).
I've worked a lot of jobs down here in Florida with Bobby. |
