"Dim Lights,Thick Smoke and Loud, Loud, Music" on the Decca LP titled Here's Conway Twitty and his Lonely Blue Boys. It sure doesn't sound like John Hughey.

Gary, its probably Lew Houston. He was noted for the chicken pickin as he did in "Working Girl" by Conway. Gene Jones or John Hughey either one could tell you. Ray

Ray is correct. Lew was with Conway about that time, which was just before John began his 20 years with the Twitty Birds.
