GUYS I WAS IN HENDERSONVILLE TN IN 1983 AND RECORDED THIS SONG AT BEAVERWOOD STUDIOS. ONLY 23 AT THE TIME DIDNT PAY NO MIND TO WHOM THE MUSICIANS WAS. I REMEMBER THE GUY THAT PLAYED THE PIANO WAS BLIND BUT BOY COULD HE PLAY. STEEL PLAYER WAS A SHORT GUY, AND HE ALSO DUBBED IN THE DOBRO PART IN AS WELL. TAKE A LISTEN AND SEE IF MAYBE YOU MIGHT KNOW. AND NAA ITS NOT IMPORTANT JUST WONDERING IS ALL.
YOU'VE BEEN CHEATING

I hear stylings of John Hughey and Lloyd Green, but I'm sure it's neither of them playing.

Joseph,
I just spoke w/ Clyde Beavers,& he informed me that the keyboard player was Benny Kennerson,(now deceased) & the steeler could've possibly been Doug Jernigan, since he used him quite a bit back then.

I would say it's Benny, but doesn't sound like Doug to me.

Probably Doug during the "sho-bud" days...and using the "sho-bro" to double with. Theresa....wasn't there another blind piano player back during that time?...Last name Probst? Doug is somewhere around 5'9-5'10"....but what a big heart!!!

Pat,
That would've been John Probst, also deceased.
Played in the house band at "The Palace" for many years. KILLER keyboardist.
