My good friend Terry Eldridge had his great bluegrass group (The Grasscals) on the Opry Sat. Nite.... I think they kicked some but.
Anyone catch them? They are tour now with Dolly! This was one of the best opry shows i have seen in awhile,, Lee Ann Womack singing her butt off, and Tommy White playing some great stuff behind her, and then the country boys with Dolly laying down some grass...
Sure beats the heck out of some of the crap you see on the opry anymore.

The part that got me is that I used to do a bluegrass version of "Viva Las Vegas" years ago.
Now someone was doing my arrangement on the Grand Ol' Opry.

The Bass player is Terry Smith. His Mother is Hazel Smith, a long-time writer for ‘Country Music Magazine’. Terry has worked with the Osborn Bros. and more recently with Mike Snyder of the ’Opry! I've known the family for about 30-yrs.! Very ‘Good-People’! Terry and his Brother Billy are Co-Writers of a lot of Bluegrass Songs.
