Sonny can be heard on a lot of Webb Pierce recordings from the 1950's (he came on after Bud isaacs did "Slowly"), he also made recordings with other artists of the time, incl. Little Jimmy Dickens and Jimmy & Johnny.

He also worked as a staff player for the Grand Ole Opry (he is the "Sonny" of "Sonny, Hal & Weldon - Steel Guitars of the Grand Ole Opry"-album).

Kind Regards, Walter

Thanks Smiley,Its good to hear that he is still with us.He was the first Steeler I ever meet some 40 yrs ago.Its a amazing what you find in the old boxs in storage. Even came across an autograph picture of Jim Reeves. Checked on line is said to be around $500to $1000,not bad for a show that cost me around $2.25 to see. Some where in all this paper work is Patsy Cline autogragh picture, saw her in 62.Will thanks again!!
