Chris: What do you mean by fiddle scales? Here is a site that shows the fingerings for different scales on different stringed instruments.

My fiddle does not have scales, it has strings, bridge , and bow. Don't smell fishy either. Forgive me. Icouldn't resist...Jennings

Originally this tab site started out mainly for guitar, but has grown to include banjo,
mandolin, fiddle, accordion, dulcimer.

| thanks for the replies. i am looking for tab for pedal steel that is "fiddle scales" tabbed out. i am not sure if i am using the correct terminology here to describe these scales. i am looking for the type of scales that seem to be going up the scale and down the scale simultaneously, if that makes any sense, like a fiddle sounds in a good bluegrass jam session, similar to a circular scale. hopefully someone knows what i am talking about..... |
