Last week I watch a program on CMT called "Honky Tonk Sound". The show was hosted by Trace Adkins. A nice long feature of the show was a spot about the pedal steel guitar. It also included a tour of the Mullen Steel Guitar factory just outside of Denver. It was a guided tour by Del Mullen. I found it to be very interesting and also GREAT exposure for the PSG. I wished I had taped it. I have checked the CMT schedule and haven't found a rebroadcast time...YET. I'm still watching for it to be replayed. It seems that the "good shows" only get played rarely. Let's face it...how many times do they think we need to see the reruns of the Flameworthy awards? If I find the rebroadcast time for this show, I will try to post it in advance.

That was a rebroadcast. It originally aired a year or two ago, so maybe they will show it again. |

Honky Tonk Sound is one of my favorite shows because it talks about the steel guitar and how it came to be a part of the honky tonk sound. Trace talks about John Hughey too. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel |

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that this was a rebroadcast from a year or two ago. I thought it was cool that the Steel Guitar finally got some good exposure. I'll have to watch for it again.
Thanks for the compliment Bill! I do the best that I can and I appreciate the patience of the people that I play with. We do it for the fun of it! Maybe we can jam sometime and I can steal some licks from that CLR of yours! ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif) |
