Kind of a all female surf punk band from Japan. I think they are no longer together though.

There's a 2 song performance by them on the Kill Bill Vol. 1 DVD. You really can't tell if they're any good or not, because the music is sort of bad on purpose. Maybe they just play like that, or maybe they're actually good musicians putting on an act. Fun dance music, anyway.

Their new album is great, broke up, dunno about that!?!

A surf punk band, uuh, kinda.
Pretty much old school garage rock, although not as psychobilly fuled as say, the Cramps.
It's a three piece outfit, the vocals (as with most Japanese bands when they tackle english) aren't the greatest, but if that's a gripe, then you'd be missing the point.

Fun dance music b0b, yeah.. I think they'd like that description most of all.

On the Kill Bill DVD, the lyrics have subtitles even though they're singing(?) in English.

Classic!

To clarify what I wrote earlier. I noticed that a lot of sites with info mention the 5.6.7.8's split back in 2000.
They have reformed, recorded, and of course appeared in Kill Bill, plus they're touring Australia.

Special features on Kill Bill DVD tells the story how they got into the movie. Apparently Tarantino was killing time in Tokyo before his plane was leaving back to US and happened to hear their cd in a vintage clothing store (or someplace like that ). People in the store didn't know Tarantino from Adam and at first weren't going to sell the cd to him, since it was their own copy. He insisted and finally they sold him the cd. He was impressed enough to feature them in the movie. Lucky girls, huh!!?
